6. Philippe Petit Walks Between The Twin Towers - The Walk

The Scene: The moment that French high-wire artist Philippe Petit (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) steps onto his tight-rope suspended between the Twin Towers of the World Trade Center for the first time, a real-life feat previously immortalised in James Marsh's superb 2008 documentary Man on Wire. Why We Can't Wait To See It: Because while the emphasis on 3D-bating visuals seems a tad tacky (especially in scenes that aren't even set during the walk itself), Robert Zemeckis has a knack for the visceral, and from the few glimpses shown of Petit's walk so far, it looks like he's going to mine it for every drop of suspense it's worth. Yes, the ending is already known to many which somewhat undercuts this, but bet your bottom dollar that the director will pull out every trick in the book (namely some vertiginous 3D effects) to make you forget about that.
