7 Most Important Things We Still Haven't Seen In The X-Men Movies

1. Onslaught

The Onslaught saga is arguably still the biggest event to hit the X-Men in the last twenty years (yes, I am including Messiah Complex and Avengers vs. X-Men in that statement), as not only did it show the darkest side of Charles Xavier but it also left the team ostracised and hated by the public like never before. For those who missed it, Onslaught was a malevolent being forged from the minds of Professor Xavier and Magneto when the former chose to shut down his old friend€™s brain in retaliation for an attack that forcibly stripped Wolverine of his Adamantium. During the psionic contact, a kernel of Magneto€™s anger and driving vengeance reached into Charles€™ mind, mingling with the suppressed disappointment and rage that lay dormant within. This gave birth to the being known as Onslaught, an all-powerful psionic force which later took command of an army of Sentinels, set up a citadel in Central Park and was only defeated when almost of the MU€™s non-mutant heroes sacrificed themselves to do so. Obviously you€™d have to rule out the rest of Marvel€™s heroes from the final battle, but seeing the personification of the worst of both Charles and Erik after everything we€™ve seen them go through would be a spectacular way to cap off the main X-Men franchise should Fox decide to focus on spin-offs instead. It would be the ultimate event, a threat that forces the team to confront the darkest natures of the man they€™ve trusted implicitly for all these years. Trust would be lost, there€™d be heroic sacrifices and the X-universe would never be the same again. Sounds good doesn€™t it?
