7 Most Important Things We Still Haven't Seen In The X-Men Movies

2. House Of M

House of M is actually a crossover mini-event that affected the whole Marvel universe for a while so if it was to be brought to life in glorious live-action it would have to be tweaked and tinkered with a bit. The basics are more than doable though, especially if we advance the timeline a bit and dye Michael Fassbender€™s hair grey. Driven mad by the death of her children, Wanda Maximoff, Magneto€™s daughter and Quicksilver€™s brother, uses her world-bending powers to construct a new reality, one where Mutants are dominant over humans and the mutants are ruled by Magneto and his family; the House of M. Wolverine is the first to regain his memories of the world as it should be and together with Layla Miller awakens the other heroes to the truth. Believing Magneto to have manipulated his daughter€™s powers to achieve his goal of world domination, Wolverine and Earth€™s heroes launch an assault. The twist is that Magneto knew nothing of his daughter€™s deeds and when he learns the truth he unleashes his wrath on those closest to him, leading Wanda to utter the immortal line €˜no more mutants€™ robbing millions of their powers and leaving the mutant population endangered. It€™s not hard to see how well House of M would work even without Marvel€™s other properties. The story at is core would prove a compelling arc for Fassbender to explore as Magneto, whilst the consequences would set up any number of future stories and change the X-Men€™s universe forever. With DOFP dipping a toe into time travel, maybe it€™s time for Singer and his writers to jump into alternate realities with both feet with House of M.
