7 Mouth-Watering Films Quentin Tarantino Almost Made

6. Killer Crow

When his World War II drama Inglourious Basterds hit theatres, Tarantino made it known that the first few drafts of its screenplay were pretty enormous. So big, that various pieces of the material may well be used in several movies that would follow the story on. According to Eli Roth, who stars in Inglourious, Tarantino has €œan entire universe planned out for it. He even has two sequels planned. He's not necessarily going to make these movies. But he has at least four or five stories centering on these characters that span through the fifties and sixties. He knows exactly where these characters are going." One of those sequels was titled, Killer Crow, which would follow Aldo (Brad Pitt) and Danny (Roth) in Italy with a troop of black soldiers. During press for Inglourious, QT admitted Pitt was particularly keen on the idea and, if he had his way, it would happen.
In interviews proceeding the release of Django Unchained, Tarantino spoke of his plans for the Killer Crow to become part of a trilogy that included Django and Inglourious. €œI was going to do as a mini-series, and that was going to be one of the big storylines. When I decided to try to turn Django into a movie, that was a section I had to take out to help tame my material. I have most of that written. It's ready to go; I just have to write the second half of it. That would be the third of the trilogy. It would be connected to Inglourious Basterds, too, because Inglourious Basterds are in it, but it is about the soldiers." Whether this movie will ever go into production is anyoneʼs guess. But, with a script already existing, it seems likely Tarantino is pretty high on its potential.

Martin Scorsese fanboy; Can prove in 140-characters why Michael Bay is a hack, and I enjoy a bit of Gridiron at the weekends.
