7 Movie Plot Holes No One Ever Talks About
6. Where Did The Gas Come From? - Waterworld
This one can really apply to any post-apocalyptic story that had sufficient time pass between apocalypse and the storyline taking place. In the movie Waterworld the world has been covered in water. If you haven’t seen it, look it up, Kevin Costner drinks piss. Good times, good times.
In this movie, everyone is using gas powered engines for everything. There’s a problem with that. Who is drilling for oil, and processing it into gas? Gasoline has, at best, a shelf life of about six months, and that’s when it’s been kept in the best of conditions.
Say what you will, but it’s highly unlikely that there’s anyone out there doing all that.
