7 Movies That Christian Bale Completely Changed His Body For

2. Dicky Eklund €“ The Fighter

After sticking with his relatively muscle physique as seen in films such as The Dark Knight and Terminator: Salvation, Bale decided it was once again time to drag his body through hunger hell. We€™re jumping forward in time to 2010, to a role that may just be Christian Bale€™s craziest from both a physical standpoint and acting chops. He didn€™t just drop an unhealthy amount of weight to portray Dicky Eklund €“ a character based on true events- but genuinely looked like a strung out crack addict that would toss his own family under a bus for his next fix. While watching The Fighter it€™s actually easy to be put off by Bale€™s delivery and mannerisms, assuming he€™s over-acting the hell out of the role, but nope, the credits distinctly reveal that Bale just nailed the real life Dicky Eklund to a tee. Oscar win much deserved I say. Following The Fighter, Christian Bale would juice himself up yet again to don Batman€™s cowl one final time for The Dark Knight Rises.
