Initially scheduled for a theatrical release in October 2019, The Woman in the Window has faced several delays. Now slated for a digital release later this year, this psychological thriller stars Amy Adams as an agoraphobic recluse who comes to believe that her neighbour may have been murdered.

The Woman in the Window is adapted from the 2018 A.J. Finn novel of the same name, a well-paced and haunting thriller that was an instant bestseller. While Finn has faced numerous controversies (including allegations that he faked some of his credentials and qualifications), his debut novel was nonetheless a considerable commercial success.

The adaptation, which also stars Gary Oldman, Julianne Moore, and Anthony Mackie in supporting roles, is scheduled for release later this year. Directed by Joe Wright (Atonement, Anna Karenina), The Woman In The Window will feature Adams' take on an unexpectedly dark and disturbed character.

While Wright is most well-known for his sumptuous (and sometimes saucy) adaptations of literary classics such as Pride and Prejudice, we are excited to see this talented director work with an entirely new genre.

Although the film has faced numerous delays and barriers (including some worryingly late re-edits) , we are nonetheless excited by this thriller which appears to promise a number of exhilarating twists and turns.
