7 Perfect Casting Choices For The Justice League Movie

4. Anton Yelchin ATs Lucas 'Snapper' Carr

It's possible that a great deal of DC fans might not know who Snapper Carr is, never mind the general moviegoing public, but he's actually pretty important to the early days of DC's supergroup, even if his means of entering their lives is pretty stupid even by 1960s comic book standards. When the Justice League encounter the alien starfish Starro, Lucas is the only person immune to the beast's mind controlling powers (it turns out he's only immune by virtue of having just put lime on his lawn and after the intergalactic seafood is defeated with a dose of quicklime). Snapper's uncle subsequently bequeathes a secret base of operations to the heroes. Snapper quickly becomes part of the furniture and the team's unofficial mascot. He hasn't been used in this capacity for a long time, but with Warner and DC looking to bring their team together as quickly as possible and without the prerequisite solo movies of the MCU model, Snapper could be invaluable as an audience cypher. We would see all of these towering heroes through the eyes of a normal young man, with his interactions and observations fleshing out the characters who have been featured less on screen. Anton Yelchin is possibly in the outer limits of the age range for the young Snapper, but he's a youthful looking 26 year old so that shouldn't be an issue. He's also shown on multiple occasions throughout the rebooted Star Trek films and Terminator Salvation that he's an incredibly affable and relatable actor, so if anyone can keep a hastily assembled group of aliens, deities and billionaires together, it's someone with Yelchin's inherently good natured persona.
