7 Reasons Why The Amazing Spider-Man is Better Than Prometheus

6. A More Coherent Plot

This was another real biggie for me when watching Prometheus. I€™ve had countless conversations with people since regarding the plot, and as previously mentioned, nobody has an issue with the amount of questions raised, or even the fact the ending has been left blatantly open for a sequel. I didn€™t, however, expect so many plot holes. I think the at the last count we were up to 13 possible errors in story (probably more), including: why did Janek surrender his and his crewmen€™s lives to easily without even thinking of one other possibly way to bring down the Engineer? And why didn€™t Vickers and Shaw just run sideways? I don€™t want to retread old ground and ask every question again, but you get the picture. Spider-Man wins in the story department, as a simple story of coming of age love and action. Oh and he happens to get bitten by a radioactive spider and develops superpowers. The point is, it isn€™t a complicated story, and delivers exactly what it promises. Also very importantly, Spider-Man has a definite hero, where Prometheus has a few character scrabbling around, sometimes looking for Alien life, and sometimes, it seems, looking for a decent storyline.
