6. Lt. Vincent Hanna Was On Coke The Whole Time - Heat

Al Pacino's most over zealous performance came during Michael Mann’s 1995 crime classic Heat, but only in 2016 did the world find out why Lt. Vincent Hanna was so animated throughout.

Let's just say the police detective must have made a few unauthorised trips to the evidence room, because the actor has confirmed what many of the fans suspected - his character was coked up the whole time.

Pacino was always elusive when discussing the obsessive lawman's motivation over the years, but during a special Academy screening of Heat in LA last year, he spilled the beans.

The admission certainly explains a lot, like the scene where he leaves the scrapyard yelling “Don’t waste my motherf****ing time”, and all those other outbursts, but it makes sitting through Heat a different experience now it's out there in the open.
