7 Shark Films The Meg Will Blow Out Of The Water

4. 2-Headed Shark Attack

The Meg Sharknado
The Asylum

A college party boat is attacked by a shark. Yawn. Another lazy predator movie that's simply an excuse to see a bunch of scantily clad, sub-par actors. Except to spice it up, this shark has two mouths. How's that for innovation? Clearly, the way forward for the shark subgenre was not more sharks, but just to add mouths to one big shark.

There's probably a reason that the titular beastie in 2-Headed Shark Attack is barely shown at all in its YouTube Movies Trailer. It's because the shark looks dreadful. Whereas Mako uses real-life sharks to at least generate some sort of terror, 2-Headed Shark Attack instead struggles along with such a shoddily animated starring shark.

2-Headed Shark Attack might seem less egregious than its sequels, 3-Headed and 5-Headed Shark Attack, purely because its the first instance of such a lazy series' escalation. However, for birthing such a twisted, unnecessary run of so-bad-they're-bad movies. Mutant sharks might suggest a B-movie that will shoot for laughs, but not this time. Possibly the most insulting part is the ending, wherein the two-headed monster is blown to kingdom come by the survivors, directly aping the tense ending of Spielberg's classic movie.
