5. 100 Bullets
Brian Azzarello's comic series about a mysterious man named Agent Graves, who approaches people who have been the victims of unpunished crimes, offering them a pistol and 100 bullets so that they can extract their vengeance, is being turned into a movie by publisher DC Vertigo's parent company, Warner Bros, with Tom Hardy producing and possibly starring. Each arc of the series is basically one a violent revenge story, with a recurring theme of how far people will go if the option of revenge is presented to them, but without going into too much detail, as the series progresses, we learn that Agent Graves is actually using the people who he approaches as pawns in part of a larger conspiracy. Not much is known about the film other than the details mentioned above, but Tom Hardy's a really great actor, so this does sound like it could be great.
