7 Star Wars Characters Who Might Get A Spin-Off Movie
4. Obi-Wan Kenobi
Much like Darth Maul, one of the characters who felt cast correctly was Ewan McGregor as Obi-Wan Kenobi. McGregor did a monumental job of re-imagining Sir Alec Guinness as a younger version of the character that he made famous back in 1977. There are many moments, especially in Revenge of the Sith, where McGregor even looks like a younger version of Guinness. Little is known of Kenobi in between Episodes III and IV, other than the fact that he goes into exile on Tatooine whilst over-seeing the coming of age of a young Luke Skywalker. But let's be realistic: Is it possible to believe that he just sat on his hands for 19 long years? Would it not be great to see Emperor Palpatine unleash his tamed and former apprentice Maul onto the galaxy to hunt down Obi-Wan Kenobi? It is a a little bit of a cheat as Darth Maul was the #5 on this list, but doing a spin-off film that saw these two ending their feud would be entertaining beyond imagination. Their final confrontation could also rival that of their first meeting on Naboo, and Kenobi's fight with Darth Vader at the end of Revenge of the Sith. Much like Samuel L. Jackson, McGregor would jump at the opportunity to reprise the role of Kenobi in a solo spin-off film, and has stated so previously on numerous occassions.
