3. Boba Fett

Although the Internet is absolutely lighting up in regards to Boba Fett being the first spin-off movie on the docket, it is important to keep in mind that nothing has been confirmed by any studio executives just yet. The key word being "yet," of course. Much like Yoda in the prequel trilogy, it could be argued that Boba Fett's origin story was explored in Attack of the Clones, through his father Jango Fett and the Clone Army. Jango Fett was an attempt at showing Star Wars fans what Boba Fett would be like as a bounty hunter, after all, as they are basically one and the same. Fans still want more, however. And in wanting more, they want Boba Fett to get the "solo" treatment. Where could a Boba Fett spin-off take us? It's tough to say as there has been a lot of talk in the past about focusing on the underworld of Star Wars and the bounty hunters. The Star Wars live action TV show that has been hung up in development hell for years was to rumored to focus on that world. It would be fascinating to see Boba Fett's rise into the galaxy's most feared bounty hunter in the time frame between Episodes III and IV. It could be possible that perhaps this is the movie in which we see the original cast of Leia, Luke and Han rather than an entire new trilogy, then. It's hard to imagine Carrie Fisher, Mark Hamill and Harrison Ford tied to three news films that will take at least 5-years to make, but more plausible to think they would be a part of an individual film treatment like this one. Should Boba Fett be ranked higher on this list? Yes, absolutely. But for the sake of all the information flying around right now and the rumor mill chugging hard, it is more fun to dig and look further at other possibilities.
