7 Uncomfortable Facts That Ruin Beloved Movies

1. Sean Connery Hates James Bond - The James Bond Movies

Ask anyone who their favourite James Bond actor is and chances are that their answer will sounds something like "Sean Connery." For many, Connery is the definitive take on Ian Fleming's famous creation - the coolest and most iconic Bond of all, star of classic pictures such as Dr. No, Goldfinger, From Russia With Love, Thunderball and You Only Live Twice. What's surprising, however (brace yourself, please) is that Sean Connery has admitted on multiple occasions that he hates the character of James Bond within an inch of his life. Seriously: he can't stand the guy, and wishes that he never had anything to do with him for both creative and financial reasons (he believes he was cheated out of a lot of cash). "I've always hated that damn James Bond," he once said. "I'd like to kill him." It's somewhat soul-destroying to know that the guy playing James Bond always hated being James Bond. Watching any film, it's never nice to know that the actor playing the main role hated their character, but this one is in a different category completely; it's like Harrison Ford admitting he hates Indiana Jones, or Shatner saying that he hates Captain Kirk. Stop ruining it for everyone, Sean! Say that you like James Bond!
