7 Unused Spider-Man Villains Who'd Be Great In The Marvel Cinematic Universe

4. Beetle (Janice Lincoln)

Who Is She? There are a number of characters named "Beetle" in the Marvel comics - at least three of whom have caused trouble for Spider-Man - but the one we'll be focusing on here is Janice Lincoln (the other two Spider-Man foes with the "Beetle" name being Abner Jenkins and Leila Davis). Lincoln was the daughter of Tombstone - another Spider-Man foe - but it's not as though that would stop Marvel Studios from using her (look at Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver). She was given a suit of armour by Baron Zemo - a villain associated with HYDRA and the Red Skull - and sent to destroy Captain America (the Bucky version), which brought her in to conflict with both him and Black Widow. She later faced the Superior Spider-Man as part of Boomerang's Sinister Six. How Could She Fit In? She could be a HYDRA agent tasked with taking down Bucky Barnes, utilising her high-tech equipment, when he inevitably takes over the Captain America mantle in future movies after Chris' Evans departure as Steve Rogers. Armoured villains are fairly common in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, thanks largely to Iron Man, and a battle between Bucky and the Black Widow and Janice Lincoln's Beetle would be pretty cool to see.
