7 Unused Spider-Man Villains Who'd Be Great In The Marvel Cinematic Universe
3. Chameleon
Who Is He? The Chameleon is Dmitri Smerdyakov - a man from the Soviet Union who became an associate of Spider-Man rogues Gustav Fiers and Kraven the Hunter. In his youth, he developed a talent for impersonating others. He moved to the United States and became the Chameleon - a villain who was a master of disguise. As well as being a key Spider-Man rogue, he also has associations with both the KGB and HYDRA and has run afoul of characters like Hank Pym, Iron Man and the Hulk (indeed, he once used Hank Pym's Pym Particles to shrink the Hulk to a tiny size, having disguised himself as Pym himself). How Could He Fit In? As a HYDRA agent, his incredible talent for impersonating others could lead to him infiltrating the heroes of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Indeed, it could even be revealed that he was key in HYDRA's infiltration of S.H.I.E.L.D. and he could even be revealed to have already appeared on screen under the guise of another character. Moreover, his Soviet heritage and association with the KGB could easily link him to the back-story and history of Natasha Romanoff, the Black Widow.
