2. Dom Isn't Really A Villain - The Fate Of The Furious

The Fate of the Furious' marketing is hinged heavily on the fact that Vin Diesel's Dominic Toretto has turned on his "family" in order to help the villainous Cipher (Charlize Theron).

Universal seems to be playing it pretty straight for the most part, but it's most likely an incredibly transparent trick, as it's hard for those who've stuck with the franchise to believe that Dom has legitimately turned heel.

He'll almost certainly revealed to either be working undercover for Mr. Nobody (Kurt Russell) or helping Cipher because Brian (Paul Walker) and his family have been kidnapped or something.

Granted some people are going to fall hook, line and sinker for this regardless, but if Dom does indeed turn out to be a legit villain, it's going to be a massive shock, especially as he appears to be dodging one of Cipher's missiles in the new Super Bowl trailer.
