7 Ups And 9 Downs From San Andreas

1. Ollie, The Cringe-Worthy Comic Relief Sidekick

And finally, there's Ollie, Ben's younger brother and essentially the movie's main source of comic relief. Yes, he's going to be known not as Ollie to most audiences but rather Rickon Stark from Game of Thrones, but here he's mostly just an annoying, pint-sized smart-a**, cracking occasional jokes about his own geekiness, how sexy Blake is, and how his older brother evidently wants to bone her. He raises a few smiles, sure, but ultimately most of the lines he's forced to spout are outrageously corny, as though scriptwriter Carlton Cuse really isn't trying, which is a distinct possibility, by the way. It's not actor Art Parkinson's fault by any means: even Daniel Day-Lewis couldn't make those skeezy zingers sing. Have you seen San Andreas yet? If not, what are you expecting from it? Shout it out in the comments!
