2. Hydro-Man

Another classic Spider-Man villain, Hydro-Man is Morris "Morrie" Bench. Bench (who is a formidable fighter regardless of his powers) gains his powers - the ability to transform himself into a watery liquid substance, subsequently granting him water manipulation, superhuman strength and superhuman durability - while working as a crewman on the cargo ship the U.S.S. Bulldog, having been knocked overboard accidentally by Spider-Man (after the hero had finished a fight against Namor, who would obviously have to be replaced with someone else in a movie) while a powerful experimental generator was being tested in the ocean. The combination of a strange form of radiation and his immersion in a deep ocean dwelling bacteria turns him into Hydro-Man. He could be hinted at if Spider-Man did indeed fight in an ocean setting, knocking a crew member in to the water - everyone with Spider-Man knowledge would get the reference. As a result of the fall, Bench developed a grudge against Spider-Man and became a permanent fixture in his rogue gallery and a member of numerous groups that were put together to defeat the webbed wonder - including the Sinister Six. His water-body could look fantastic utilising CGI and he would prove as difficult a foe to Spidey as Sandman did in Spider-Man 3 prior to the reboot, given that his body is composed of an element in the same manner.
