Not necessarily served cold, per se, but the entertainment industry is one so often brimming with acts of revenge. Some of these acts will be extremely petty and needless, while others will very much be worth the time and effort that go into getting some genuine payback on someone who's acted like quite the a**hole.

Given some of the huge egos that so often come with the territory of being involved in film or TV, it's no surprise to hear how some people can't help but act like complete pricks on a daily basis. But while the star power and status of some mean that their prima donna behaviour, horrendous attitude, and general annoyance will be tolerated by a project's cast and crew, there are still those times when somebody a) doesn't have the name value to get away with such behaviour, or b) continues to push and push and push, until those around them snap.

In those times when someone's influence on set becomes too much, that's when we've heard tales of some glorious, fully deserved revenge being served up by a problem child's co-stars. And here, there are seven such examples of when actors hit their colleagues with a brutal dose of well-earned revenge.

7. Shannen Doherty's Attitude Got Her Fired - Beverly Hills, 90210

While Beverly Hills, 90210 was one of the most popular shows of its time, it was also a series that was often a tense affair behind the scenes. Front and centre amongst this was Shannen Doherty.

Playing Brenda in the show, there are numerous recollections from various different cast members that Doherty was a nightmare to work with. There were arguments, there was an attitude problem, and there was even a physical fight with co-star Jennie Garth.

As an act of revenge - and one of that sounds fully justified, to be fair - fellow co-star Tori Spelling got Doherty fired. One day Shannen was on the set, the next day she was gone, with her character of Brenda disappearing during the fourth season of Beverly Hills, 90210.

How did Spelling have the power to pull this revenge play? Why, that would be because her father Aaron was the producer behind 90210. By speaking to her old man, that meant the axe swung on Shannen Doherty's time on one of the hottest shows of the '90s.

Subsequently, Aaron Spelling would give Doherty another shot by hiring her for Charmed years later. Again though, after rumours of troublesome on-set behaviour, Shannen's Charmed character of Prue Halliwell was killed off at the close of the show's third season.
