Instead of following the age-old trend of bad guys dying in action movies, especially comic book movies, Bryan Singer and writer Simon Kinberg may just have learnt a lesson and decided not to have Apocalypse die at the end of his self-subtitled film. Or, at the very least, ensure that he's resurrected. Fans of the comic will know this to be a tenet of the character - that, like many of the X-Men (and comic characters in general), he has a nasty habit of simply coming back to life. Except with Apocalypse, he's damn near perfected it to an art. There's fair reason to suggest that Singer would decide to keep Apocalypse around for a future appearance. At this point, with the future of the X-franchise future so up in the air - we know there'll be more, we just don't know which mutants will feature or what the story will be - there's no harm in keeping a good villain around to make a return appearance. Heck, Magneto has been in every X-film so far, f*cking shit up, and it's been 16 years. Who knows how many more times we'll see Oscar Isaac's Apocalypse? What do you think will happen at the end of X-Men: Apocalypse? Share your assessment below in the comments thread.
