7 Ways The Next Fantastic Beasts Film Can Turn Around The Franchise

Learning that Nagini was once a wizard was an easter egg that fell flat with most fans. They teased her character and then didn't really deliver on why she was even included in the first place. While it added a dimension to the original series that wasn't there previously, it did not really do much to add to the story that they've told in the Fantastic Beasts series.

What was even more confusing for fans was that Nagini chose to fight on the side of the light when given the chance to go with Grindelwald. Even if she does eventually turn into a snake permanently, it does not make much sense that she then follows Voldemort in the coming years.

The next film should give us more hints as to why she would be persuaded by Voldemort. Perhaps Grindelwald will dangle a false cure for her condition in front of her. Or those fighting on Dumbledore's side will do something to Credence that forces her perspective to switch. No matter how it's done, her character needs much more fleshing out.
