8 Actors Who Have Played An Insane Amount Of Nationalities

6. Rob Schneider

Nationality: American "Notable" Roles: I Now Pronounce You Chuck and Larry (Japanese), Big Daddy (Italian), Eight Crazy Nights (Chinese), 50 First Dates (American, But He's Doing "Hawaiian"), You Don't Mess With The Zohan (Palestinian), The Adventures of Pinocchio (Italian), Click (Arabian), Bedtime Stories (Indian) I know, I know: it doesn't make much sense that there's a movie list not called "the worst actors ever who should retire and never do acting again" that has Rob Schneider on it, but stranger things have happened. Also: Rob Schneider has played a hell of a lot of nationalities - and by "played," I mean that his characters are simply referred to as being from somewhere, and then comes a terribly contrived and poorly researched accent. Unfortunately, he is yet to play a carrot as South Park so brilliantly parodied once, but fingers crossed. So, no, there's not as much on-screen transformation going into the "exotic" roles listed above, because Rob Schneider isn't Ben Kingsley, and most of the times he's played "foreign" it has been for comedy purposes: it's broad accents and characters who are tittering on the edge "ethnic stereotypes," of course, but it's hard to imagine that Schneider has any true malicious intentions - usually, he's just shooting for the lowest common denominator. Which, incidentally, would serve as a good name for his autobiography. Somebody write that down.
