2. The Cast Of Fury And Director David Ayer Beat Each Other Up Daily For Fun
"David, in all his films, feels strongly that everybody fights each other every single morning" - Fury actor Jon Bernthal there, on the fact that writer-director David Ayer likes to bond cast and crew by having everyone put on the MMA gloves and generally beating the crap out of each other. Bernthal, in an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, revealed that Ayer punched Bernthal directly in the face during filming on Fury, leading Bernthal to surmise it was "gonna be this kind of party". Rather than cast members going instant section 8 and leaping upon the director for a beatdown, Ayer encourages sparring on his movies, regardless of the beauty or star wattage of the actor (on End Of Watch and Fury respectively, Jake Gyllenhaal and Brad Pitt fought just as hard as anyone else). Shia LaBeouf - yes, him again - finally found an outlet on Fury to lawfully unleash some of that inner rage.
Lover of film, writer of words, pretentious beyond belief. Thinks Scorsese and Kubrick are the kings of cinema, but PT Anderson and David Fincher are the dashing young princes. Follow Brogan on twitter if you can take shameless self-promotion: @BroganMorris1
