8 Actors Who Reprised Their Most Iconic Roles In Music Videos

5. Rip Torn (The All Blacks - "Men In Black Safety Defenders")

The Character: Zed (from Men In Black)

Though technically not intended as a legitimate music video--this was shot specifically as the in-flight safety announcement for Air New Zealand--"Men In Black Safety Defenders" ends up as a pretty straightforward recreation of Will Smith's original "Men In Black" video. Complete with Rip Torn reprising his role of Zed, the ornery but sweet-natured head of MIB. The video also stars the New Zealand rugby team, because their team name has "Black" in it and that's apparently as far as anyone in this video really thought about anything.

The whole thing is as dumb as you'd expect and there's doubt that Rip Torn--normally the highlight of everything he takes part in--realized that long before the cameras started rolling. Here he manages to be outshined by Frank the Pug, which actually makes sense because...ya know...talking dog and all that. Still, I bet Torn made sure they had his check ready when he walked off set.
