8 Actors Who Reprised Their Most Iconic Roles In Music Videos

6-7. Eric Estrada, Mekhi Phifer (Eminem - "Just Lose It")

The Characters: Ponch (from CHiPs), Future (from 8 Mile)

For those not "in the know" about kitschy TV shows from the 70s, CHiPs was a light drama about the lives of two members of the California Highway Patrol. (Now you get the name!) The two motorcycle cops, Ponch and Jon, played with wide-eyed enthusiasm by Eric Estrada and Larry Wilcox, respectively, were somehow considered to be sex symbols. "Just Lose It" was the first of many comebacks for Eminem, who returned to his status as the preeminent goofball rapper and left the intensity of "Stan" and "Cleanin' Out My Closet" at home for this video shoot.

Slim Shady revels in playing a Who's Who of 90s icons, parodying everyone from Pee Wee Herman, MC Hammer, Michael Jackson, Madonna, and...Bad Santa? He also throws in references to Old School and his own movie, 8 Mile, which is where our cameos appear. In a blink-and-you-miss-it role as a motorcycle cop chasing down a streaking Eminem, Eric Estrada pops up just long enough for forty-something females to get all excited in their pants. (Forty-something females like Eminem, right?)

Then Mekhi Phifer, who's mentioned by name in the song, shows up in the confusing tribute to 8 Mile. He's never shown up-close, though, so it's almost like he immediately regretted agreeing to be in the video once they finished shooting and asked to be edited out as much as possible.
