8 Actors Who Reprised Their Most Iconic Roles In Music Videos

4. Jeff Daniels (Crash Test Dummies - "The Ballad Of Peter Pumpkinhead")

The Character: Harry Dunne (from Dumb & Dumber)

There wasn't much time for anyone to develop any nostalgia over Dumb and Dumber when this music video was released, since the song (a cover of an XTC classic) appeared on the soundtrack and the music video was promotion for the movie. Still, it's nice to see Harry show up in something that isn't Dumb & Dumber Too. Curiously, there's no Jim Carrey in sight, which likely kept viewers confused right up until the end.

"Why is Harry going on a solo adventure? Where's Lloyd? WHERE'S LLOYD???" Instead, Jeff Daniels is introduced walking on the streets of Canada, speaking broken French and lamenting how Canadians aren't as friendly as everyone says they are. (Then again, knowing the character, it's entirely possible Harry isn't even in Canada.) He then spends a lot of time with his head trapped inside a Pumpkin and being accused of a crime he didn't commit. So...yeah. Pretty much what you'd expect from a music video in the 90s.
