8 Actors Who Reprised Their Most Iconic Roles In Music Videos

3. Ricky Gervais (Brent And Johnson - "Equality Street")

The Character: David Brent (from The Office)

Oh, David Brent. There will always be a place in the hearts of true fans of The Office for you as the original general manager of paper merchants. Steve Carrell's Michael Scott did an admirable job of taking over the reigns, but even at his best, he never made people wince-laugh to the same degree that David Brent did. Filmed as part of The Office Revisited segment for Comic Relief, Ricky Gervais lets us in on what his cringeworthy, "chilled-out entertainer" has been up to in the last decade since we've seen him.

Nothing much, just being a bloody music manager. He considers himself "the local Simon Cowell." But better, of course. Representing rapper Dom Johnson, Brent asks viewers to "walk with me down Equality Street," pointing out all of the different ethnicities he interacts with over a hokey reggae beat. (Though he's still a little weirded out by Sikhism and gay people, apparently.) The Ebony and Ivory act is wonderful and awful all at once, which is just what you should expect from the character by now.

The best line in the video, curiously, is delivered by Dom: "Black people aren't crazy, fat people aren't lazy, and dwarves aren't babies."
