8 Actors Who Reprised Their Most Iconic Roles In Music Videos

1. Matthew McConaughey (Butch Walker And The Black Widows - "Synthesizers")

The Character: Wooderson (from Dazed and Confused)

As if the world needed further proof that Matthew McConaughey is still as cool as when he captured our hearts as Wooderson, the pervy older guy who still hangs out with high schoolers in Dazed & Confused... Well, he does it anyways because the Matthew McConaughey Revival Tour is still going strong and continues to make stops in the most unexpected of places. In this Richard Linklater-approved reprisal, McConaughey basically goes balls-deep into a riff on the famous Emporium scene from the movie. (Except this time it's a strip club and Wooderson has learned to play the trombone.)

Granted, the song is nothing special and the video is only good because McConaughey really sinks into it, but anything featuring the greatest sleezeball of the 90s (I mean...the 70s) is A-OK. Just ask the man himself, who thinks fans will really dig it:

"If you love 'Dazed' and you loved Wooderson, you'll see this and you'll probably get the tickle box pretty quick."

Whatever the hell that means.
