8 Actors Who Seriously Injured Themselves For Movies

4. Channing Tatum Gets His Private Parts Burnt On The Set Of The Eagle

In what's surely the most wince-worthy entry on this list, Channing Tatum did himself quite the whoopsie on the set of 2011€™s The Eagle. For Tatum is wasn't the simplicity of injuring himself by following a punishing schedule of 4 - 5 hours training every day, getting walloped with a prop sword or even just developing hypothermia from wading through freezing cold water. No, Channing Tatum burnt his bits. Or, more precisely, a hapless crew member burnt his bits.

Throughout the day€™s filming, the cast had dealt with the chill of paddling around in an icy stream by mixing boiling water from a kettle with river water and pouring it down their wetsuits. Sounds rather lovely, doesn€™'t it? However, the Crew Member Who Shall Not Be Named (presumably for legal reasons) forgot one of the important stages in this process - mixing the water - and simply poured scalding hot water straight down the front of poor Channing€™s suit and all over his todger. He was rushed to hospital and put on morphine - as one would hope to be having had their sausage scorched.

Far from being psychologically scarred by the incident, Tatum cheerfully shared the story of his withered wiener with interviewers, even offering them a glance at photographs of it. Presumably it€™s for the best that he€™s left his stripping career behind him.
