While we've seen Hugh Jackman don an outfit relatively close to this in The Wolverine, it doesn't have a patch on the outfit shown in the fantastic artwork of John Byrne and Terry Austin on this now iconic comic book cover.
The brown colours mixed with the slightly yellow-tinted fur just feels like Wolverine, and harkens back to his Canadian roots in a way that suits the character beautifully. While there are shots of Wolverine wearing a similar jacket in the Logan trailer, the fur is missing, and the partially greying hair on display here lends a sort of grizzled elegance to the character.
It's a real shame this one was never done justice, as it would've been one of the easier costumes for Fox to adapt to the screen, but at least we'll always have this amazing cover art.
