Christopher Nolan returns with his first feature film since finishing business in Gotham City. With little known about Interstellars plot bar its an ensemble piece involving wormholes, the talk has pretty much been centred on the acting talent put together for the film. Matthew McConaughey will look to continue his rich run of form in cinema here, as he joins the likes of Matt Damon, Jessica Chastain, Casey Affleck and Topher Grace, as well as Nolan alumni Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine. Interstellar will mark the first time since the filmmakers debut that Christopher Nolan will not be working with cinematographer Wally Pfister (more on him later). It will be interesting to see how the director works with this new element as well as a mostly new cast. With a blank canvas to work on in many respects, it will be exciting to see Nolan face these challenges in attempting to bring us a film that matches the quality of previous releases.
As a pretty nerdy guy, I've loved film and television since I was a wee lad. Growing up in Ireland, The Den was the show to watch with it playing Batman The Animated Series, Star Trek: The Next Generation and everything in between. I have an MA in Radio and Television Production and have written for various sites, hope you enjoy my articles/lists for What Culture!
