5. Kill Bill: Volume 3
Another unmade Tarantino film, except this time, it's a sequel rather than a spin-off. Kill Bill volumes 1 and 2 were more action oriented than his previous pictures, and for me, they felt like the complete package. The saga ended with Bill's deat and The Bride being reunited with her daughter, so everyone lived happily ever after. But when I thought about it, the more I liked the idea of Tarantino revisiting The Bride and her daughter somewhere down the road. Almost ten years have past and it has given enough time for people to grow up, die or train. Tarantino had the idea for third installment around the time volume two was released. One possible story line would involve Sofia Fatale raising Vernita Green's daughter, Nikki, who will then hunt down The Bride for revenge against her killing her mother. It's a good idea as it throws up an interesting new twist on the premise vengeance upon vengeance. The ten year gap is also interesting as Green's daughter would have had enough time to train and plan her revenge, but also to see how normal life has affected The Bride and how easily she can get back into ass kicking mode. I think enough time has passed to make a third film feel fresh and it would be awesome to see some more brilliantly choreographed fight scenes. Without doubt, The Bride vs The Crazy 88 is one of the best fight scenes of the last couple of decades, so any attempt at dusting off the old magic would be welcomed. For a while it looked as if the film could have been made, Tarantino seems enthusiastic to make it and Uma Thurman was interested in reprising her role. But in late December last year, Tarantino reported that the film looks unlikely as he wishes to do other projects, so yet again, movie fans have to live life without another Tarantino film.
