8 Awesome-Sounding Movies Everyone Got Psyched For (That Never Happened)

1. Justice League: Mortal

Alex Ross Justice LeagueThis was the big one. The one that would have seen all of DC Comics' A-listers on screen for the very first time. This has been looked forward to ever since Batman and Superman were created in the 1930's. There wouldn't have been a geek on Earth that wouldn't have gone to see this. It would have sent shock waves throughout the cinematic world. Thoguh many had a feeling that it was doomed from the start, but it didn't stop people from getting excited for it. The script of the film has recently leaked online €“ it would have opened with a funeral for one of the League members, and it would have had Maxwell Lord as a villain. Lord would have been an interesting choice, because he isn't as insane as The Joker, he isn't as smart as Brainiac and he isn't as strong as Doomsday, but what he could do was influence people's minds. With the knowledge of Lord as the villain, it would have been safe to assume that the film could have taken influence from the Infinite Crisis storyline, and that's yet another reason as to why this film could have been awesome. The film had a lot going on for it heading into production. It had George Millar directing €“ mostly known for his Babe, Mad Max and Happy Feet films €“ and featured major players from the League cast. From Armie Hammer as Batman to Adam Brody as The Flash, it was clear to the fans that this was possibly going to be the Justice League's first year. Aside from the obvious reasons as to why this would have been awesome, the film could have been entirely motion capture and depicted in a similar way to Beowulf. Some fans might not have liked this, but it would have certainly been a bold move and would have had people talking about it for years. But due to a combination of script rewrites, production delays, different ideas about shooting locations and questions about Miller's casting, the film was cancelled in 2010 and fans have missed out on seeing Batman and Superman on screen for the first time. So with in mind, roll on 2015!
