8 Awesome Ways For The Joker To Cameo In Batman V Superman: Dawn Of Justice

2. The Sender Of Those Letters

By far one of the most intriguing parts of the latest trailer for Batman V Superman was the letter Bruce Wayne received which accused him of letting his "family" - presumably referring to those who perished in the collapsed Wayne Financial building - die during the battle between Superman and General Zod. Popular fan theories range from Lex Luthor to one of the victim's loved ones being responsible, but the fact that the writing on that newspaper article is so similar to what's scrawled across Robin's suit has obviously led to The Joker being a prime candidate. The fact that Bruce would receive such a letter from The Joker obviously indicates that the Clown Prince of Crime is aware that he and Batman are one and the same, but seeing as that's always been alluded to in the comics (and actually confirmed in "The New 52" Universe), then it really isn't that big of a deal and actually helps to explain why Amanda Waller is apparently so keen to meet The Joker in Suicide Squad. The Joker being responsible could be revealed in a scene as subtle as Bruce acknowledging the fact that he knows his arch nemesis sent them or a shot of a pale tattooed hand placing a letter in a post box. There are obviously more blatant ways it could be depicted, but The Joker taunting Batman like this not only further establishes what kind of relationship they have, but sets the stage for this to be picked up on down the line.
