8 Awful Movie Moments DC Wants You To Forget

5. Superman Doesn't Really Care About Metropolis - Man Of Steel

Batman Forever Crotch

In Dawn Of Justice, Superman is portrayed as the reasonable one, the one motivated by his deep love of earth and humanity. This is in stark contrast to Batman, who has become bitter and jaded and is portrayed as a total anti-villain. Except... the complete opposite is proved during the climax of Man Of Steel, which came directly before Dawn Of Justice.

Remember that battle with General Zod? During which Superman crashed through buildings and wiped out thousands of innocent lives? Yeah, we don't see the death toll, Superman is totally culpable, especially when he could have just flown away from the city while fighting Zod. The cherry on top of the sundae of carnage is the fact that the first thing Superman does upon besting Zod isn't to mourn the city he's just helped decimate, or to try and aid it, but to share a romantic kiss with Lois Lane. The whole scene is just terribly misjudged, and is about as romantic as, well...a burning, ravaged city full of dead civilians.

Yet Dawn Of Justice expects us to believe that Superman is this incredibly compassionate saviour figure? Yeah, right. He really cared a lot about Metropolis in Man Of Steel.
