8 Awful Movie Moments DC Wants You To Forget

2. The Completely CGI Suit - The Green Lantern

When it comes to superhero films, costumes are incredibly important. Comic books fans are eager to see the translation from page to the big screen - that's one of the main appeals. You've only to look at how drastically Spider-Man's suit changed between The Amazing Spider-Man 1 and 2 to see that fans truly care about the design. Plus, nothing is more awesome than the first time a hero dons their iconic suit - it's usually an exciting, triumphant moment.

At this point, Ryan Reynold's CGI costume is legendary in its ridiculousness, and it isn't getting any better with age. The entire suit is CGI, including the tiny mask on Hal's face. It looks fake as hell, and makes Reynolds look like he's an avatar in a video game.

The scene in which Hal shows off his suit to Tom is especially awkward because we, the audience, are supposed to share in Tom and Hal's ecstatic reaction. But all we really get is a prolonged look deep into the uncanny valley, and one of the worst decisions a DC film has ever made.
