8 Biggest Casting Mistakes In Upcoming Movies

6. David Beckham As Blackleg Leader - Knights Of The Roundtable: King Arthur

David Beckham wants to be a movie star now, apparently. You'd be forgiven for forgetting he had a scene in The Man From U.N.C.L.E. - to be honest that entire film was unmemorable sludge - but he'll be harder to miss in Knights Of The Roundtable: King Arthur, the first in what Guy Ritchie hopes to be an expansive medieval franchise.

That's right, another classic legend is getting the universe treatment simply because it's in the public domain. But, putting aside how unnecessary it all feels, there's Beckham's bizarre cameo that reportedly had him on set for a few days and required him to stretch his acting muscles more than a non-actor typically would.

Now, Beckham seems like a class act in real life, a genuinely nice guy who has his head screwed on, but that doesn't mean a part in his mate's film won't be distracting at best, poorly acted at worst. By the footballer's own admission he's still learning how to act, so an expanded role here feels incredibly conceited (although the curiousity aspect does at least give a reason to see the bloody movie).
