5. Black Mask's Main Mission Is To Recover Some Nude Pictures - Birds Of Prey
After getting a proper look at Ewan McGregor's take on Black Mask in the recent trailer for Birds of Prey, a lot of fans were left feeling decidedly unimpressed.
This iteration looks nothing like the badass Black Mask that we're all familiar with, and while it's important to reserve judgement until we see the full performance, these early signs have hardly set the internet on fire with enthusiasm.
And unfortunately, for those hoping we might see a more traditional approach to the character as the film progresses, a rumoured plot leak might have just put a damper on that possibility.
Earlier this year, movie pundit Grace Randolph released a video breaking down some information she'd heard about the film's story, and it all sounds truly bizarre. Randolph stated that Black Mask will be "flamboyantly gay" in the film, and that the story will see him hunting down pictures of his own junk, which are hidden inside a diamond. Yeah.
Of course, there's nothing wrong with altering characters for the big screen, and in the past, this tactic has generated some strong results (Tilda Swinton as The Ancient One, for example). But that plot point does sound just a little bit silly.
