8 Captain America: Civil War Characters Guaranteed To Disappoint

1. Spider-Man

There are a long list of reasons why Spider-Man might just end up being a let down, but it's the expectations of fans which may ultimately be the wall-crawler's downfall. Anyone who cares even a little about Spider-Man have been hoping Marvel Studios would get the chance to do him right ever since The Amazing Spider-Man disappointed, and so the pressure is on for Captain America: Civil War to deliver. Unfortunately, with rumours of a unique new costume which may mean no classic red and blue duds, talk of Tony Stark being the one responsible for creating the hero's web-shooters, and a tedious return to his high school years, it's hard not to be concerned that this new take on Spider-Man might just end up jumping the shark and infuriating comic book readers. The biggest cause for concern however is just how much of a role Spider-Man is actually going to play in the movie. While many are getting giddy over the prospect of Peter Parker lining up alongside The Avengers or battling Captain America and Iron Man, his role in Civil War could boil down to little more than a glorified cameo. It certainly won't be anything like the comic book where he was a pivotal part of how the storyline played out after unmasking to the world and deciding to switch sides, and that is inevitably going to lead to a lot of disappointment as we're all forced to wait until Infinity War for Spidey to really step up. Do you think any of these characters can deliver on expectations? Share your thoughts down in the comments.
