8 Characters That Need More Screen Time In Avengers: Age Of Ultron

8. Nick Fury

Fury ended Captain America: The Winter Soldier in a very ambiguous place, giving up the directorship of S.H.I.E.L.D and going into hiding following the reveal that Hydra had infiltrated the secret organisation. However, it's unclear as yet what he actually has been doing - its the new director, Phil Coulson, who's been leading the battle against Hydra on Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D., and Fury's whereabouts and actions are yet to be fully explored. This is a big part of why more Nick Fury is needed - his is a plot thread that seems too ripe and interesting to be left hanging. A focus on him in the new film - at least for a little while - would allow audiences some insight into what the character has been doing. Worryingly, Jackson has said that his part in the film is little more than a cameo, saying he's just "passing by". Hopefully, however, this will still allow Marvel to reveal just what Fury has been up to since his last small appearance in the TV show. Plus, more Nick Fury means more Samuel L. Jackson, and that's rarely a bad thing.
