8 Characters That Need More Screen Time In Avengers: Age Of Ultron
3. Quicksilver
As with his sister Scarlet Witch, Quciksilver is a new character to the MCU, only seen previously in the short mid-credits scene from Captain America: The Winter Soldier. As ever, new characters can help a franchise feel fresh, but need the screen time to connect with the audience and become memorable. However, the pressure for a focus on Quicksilver, and to get everything right with his appearance in the movie, has gone up since X-Men: Days Of Future Past. Evan Peters' portrayal of the X-Men-universe version of the character was one of the standouts in that film - that kitchen scene speaks for itself. He charmed and entertained and will be difficult to top. But that's what Aaron Taylor-Johnson has to do to ensure the characters' appearance here is as big a hit. For the first time, Marvel face being outdone with one of their own characters. They've said that they're going in a different direction with their version of Quicksilver, to help differentiate the two, but Aaron Taylor-Johnson is going to need screen time to stand out from all the other colourful characters in Age Of Ultron. And he's going to need to stand out to better Peters.
