8 Characters Who Need Bigger Roles In Star Wars: Episode VIII

1. Luke Skywalker

Since he spent his few seconds of screen time without any dialogue, it goes without saying that Luke Skywalker demands a much bigger part in Episode VIII.

There’s no way the next film will relegate Luke to a single scene again. They spent the whole movie teasing his appearance and now really need to fulfil that promise and make his drawn-out introduction worthwhile. He might not become the lead that he was in the original series, but you can safely expect a sizeable supporting role.

The Star Wars saga is about the Skywalkers more than anything and The Force Awakens purposely felt strange without Luke. A lot has clearly happened in the years since he’s gone into exile and we want to see how it changed him. If there’s one thing Episode VIII needs to do above all else, it’s give Luke Skywalker a role at the forefront of the adventure.

Did you already get enough of these characters? Who would you like to see more of in Episode VIII? Let us know in the comments.
