7. Howard The Duck
George Lucas has been accused of making some bad choices in the past, but Howard The Duck has to rank just behind Jar Jar Binks on the WTF scale. He produced the movie, which turned a satirical comic about a rude, foul mouthed duck into the weirdest family movie ever. It has a scene where a woman attempts to seduce a duck, among many other sins. It tested so badly that theres a rumour two studio executives got into a fistfight over it; with each blaming the other person for greenlighting it. The movie was critically savaged as well as being listed as one of the biggest box offices failures of all time, though it did become a cult classic in later years. Lucas later claimed he told the director the movie wouldnt work, as nobody wants to watch a movie featuring a dwarf wearing a duck outfit. Well, he wasnt wrong. How To Do It A CGI version of Howard (voiced by Seth Green) made a small appearance at the end of Guardians Of The Galaxy, which was so popular that Marvel relaunched the comic. James Gunn suggested this cameo might lead to a bigger role in the MCU, or even a movie of his own. If Marvel are willing to take the chance and theyve taken plenty before they could make their first non-blockbuster movie with Howard. If they go back to his roots and make an irreverent satire about the genre, they might have something special on their hands. If Deadpool - which also features a satiric edge - does well it might help his big screen chances, so well have to wait and see.
