6. Dredd
The sad thing about this entry is that the last Dredd movie was great. Karl Urban was well cast, it captured the tone of the comic and it was a lot of fun. Despite the hype and good reviews audiences avoided it, so Judge Dredd will have to go back to the drawing board. The Stallone version was derided for turning the bleak source material into a garish mess, which immediately broke the cardinal rule of the comic: never show Dredds face. That movie put a taint on the character that still lingers to this day, so that might have been a factor in the new movie not doing well. How To Do It There are over forty years of history with Judge Dredd, with a wealth of great storylines that could be adapted. If they feel like going epic theres the Cursed Earth Saga, where Dredd has to cross an irritated wasteland in a tank to deliver a vaccine, Or they might try the recent Day Of Chaos story arc. The world of Mega City One is filled with endless possibilities, and if anyone deserves another shot its old Joe Dredd himself.
