8 Coolest Winter Action Scenes In Movies

8. Para-Ski Chase - The World Is Not Enough

Let's ski-jump right in at the deep end, with a brilliant snowy mountain-top chase scene featuring the one and only James Bond. Skiing is one of 007's great past-times and he has been seen in numerous wintry settings before the 1999 film The World Is Not Enough. The scene starts pleasantly enough, with a charming off-piste jolly down an Azerbaijan mountain range. 007 and Bond-girl Elektra find themselves in a sticky situation however, with the appearance of several Para-Skis, essentially flying snowmobiles. Wily-old Bond leads the Para-Skis off through a forested area, where the parachutes of the bad-guy become entangled in the trees. Dodging machine gun bullets left and right, Bond skis through the trees with the now-parachute-less antagonists in hot pursuit. Nobody can out-ski 007 though, and the Para-skis all end up exploding one after another trying to outmanoeuvre Bond. The scene ends in an avalanche, as Bond turns his coat into a bizarre inflatable ball, saving himself and the shocked Elektra.

I like writing about films and hope you like reading about them too. And watching them, of course.
