As World War Two movies go, very few come close to being as exciting or awesome as the 1968 Where Eagles Dare. Starring Clint Eastwood and Richard Burton, the war movie features a brilliant fight scene, set on top of a cable car in Nazi Germany. Richard Burton appears as a British commando deep undercover in the snow-covered Bavarian mountains. In a climactic fight scene, Burton's character fights two double-agents on top of a moving cable car. Armed with a pick-axe, and fighting against two adversaries, Burton struggles on the icy roof of the cable car in a tense and thrilling fight sequence which has become a memorable piece of cinema history. Stuntman Alf Joint stood in for Burton during the fight, and the film became known for having stunt doubles feature more prominently than the actual actors. Nevertheless, the fight is brilliant, and the snowy setting makes for a great winter action scene.
