8 Dream Star Wars Castings That NEED To Happen

3. Anya Taylor-Joy As Asajj Ventress

In another universe, Asajj Ventress would have made her live-action debut all the way back in 2002, with the menacing dark side practitioner's original design being created as a potential female villain during the development of Attack of the Clones.

Fast forward two decades, though, and fans are still yet to be treated to the mesmerising sight of the Nightsister wielding her two red lightsabers on the big or small screen.

With Lucasfilm showing a willingness to dive back into the odd moment during the time before Order 66 changed the galaxy forever in recent years, however, the chances of the fierce assassin turned eventual Jedi ally showing up in live-action are now stronger than ever.

And seeing someone with the acting chops of The Northman and Split's Anya Taylor-Joy step into such a highly physical and layered character would surely make Ventress' long-awaited debut outside of the animated sphere feel even more special.

Whether in brief cameo form or even as a repeated flashback presence in the likes of Ahsoka or The Mandalorian, a thespian as spellbinding as Taylor-Joy getting the chance to go full Nightsister would be a dream come true.
