This is quite an outlandish prediction and may well not turn out to be the case but, if the trailers for Avengers: Age of Ultron are anything to go by - and if certain rumours are true - Thor may well perish in next year's Avengers sequel. There is a scene in the trailer where Thor's prone arm appears to be lying next to Captain America's broken shield. This may well turn out to be a scene from a vision or an alternative future - perhaps one shown by Scarlet Witch - but it could well turn out to be true. This possibility is further suggested in another scene from the trailer in which Thor rises half-naked from water in a gloomy-looking location - this could be him awakening in the Asgardian afterlife. If that's the case, death is very rarely permanent when it comes to comic book heroes - especially not when it comes to characters like Thor - so expect Odin or even Loki to resurrect him in order for him to lend a hand in the epic Ragnarok battle.
